History of Evelyn

Let Evelyn's story become part of yours.

Built by Dr. Thomas Anderson to accommodate his daughter Evelyn - who overcame a severe spinal injury to become a celebrated educator and advocate - this home now welcomes travelers to Alabama. Evelyn's inspiring legacy endures in the inclusive spirit of the space, which features wide hallways, high ceilings, and a guest room with a zero-threshold shower and full wheelchair accessibility.

A cozy room featuring a grand piano, two armchairs, a bookshelf, and large windows overlooking greenery.

Relax and Unwind

Each of the five guest rooms includes a private bath, carefully curated furnishings, and thoughtful details that reflect the grace of the home's original owner. Common areas include a peaceful screened porch, cozy living room with books and music, and a sunny dining room.
